Freedom isn’t Free

“Freedom isn’t Free”

This weekend in America is what everyone recognizes as Memorial Day.  The last Monday of May is usually when this takes place. Memorial Day, A day to remember those who died in all wars over the years that Americans fought and died in. The link below talks about the Holiday more in detail. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorial_Day
Remember the Fallen

As I was pondering how to write this, I was thinking how America would not be free, if first it wasn’t for God who orchestrated to be and for all those who died for this country as many died for what freedoms we have now.

I’m reminded that freedom isn’t Free as a sacrifice was made in order to get that point. From the military men and woman who died in wars past to Jesus who died for our own personal Freedom. As through His death we are spared from eternal death by believing in him and following His ways having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

For those who have freedom, what else comes to mind is another scripture:

When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.~ Luke 12:48

As I believe when we are given this Freedom to which we currently have in America and what we eternally have in God. We have the opportunity to do well with that Freedom. Even if you’re in a country right now that isn’t Free, you can still gain a Freedom that no one can take from you. Jesus Christ who died in your place can give you this Freedom. You will feel and see a difference in your life when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Freedom's Cost
Going back to the point of Memorial Day to those who are grieving now because of a loss of a loved one from the acts of war, God sees your pain and He is here to comfort you, to heal your heart where your loved one took that place in your heart while they were living. No one else can really understand your suffering accept for those who being through it and God himself. For God the father who seen the suffering of His son Jesus die in our place, and the suffering of many die around the world through past, present, and future. God who sees also feels, and feels your suffering, And He is also the answer to ease your suffering and give you peace.

Today we Honor those who gave their life for Freedom. Thanking those who gave their lives for the cause of Freedom. Thanking Jesus Christ who died for us to give us eternal Freedom.

The illustrated poem on the bottom of this blog was written by my husband Sean Page who is a Veteran of the Iraq war. Though it wasn’t His own country ~Iraq that my husband fought for Freedom, He fought for a cause of Freedom for those suffering within that country. Today, Iraq has a Freedom that was not known in a long time before “Operation Iraq Freedom “war started. And it was through the sacrifice of many who died, or who sacrificed in other ways that only families and soldiers can personally express.
P.O.W ~ You are Not Forgotten

Their death was NOT in vain for Freedom was the purpose and Freedom began. Though Iraq today isn’t perfect in Freedom, It is still better now than before. So I honor those who fought for human rights of Freedom. Honor those who died for the cause of Freedom whether in this country they died FOR or for those who died for another country in the cause of freedom.

So I say: Thank you to all who died for the cause of FREEDOM.

Freedom isn’t Free; a cost was made so I can be Free. I thank him who died for me, who hung on a cross and set me free. He took my place instead of me. Jesus ~ fighting all wars for me, past, present and future be ~eternally to set me Free. Thank you Jesus for your love for me, for Freedom reigns inside of me.

 “Father”

Do not weep for me Father, for I stand for your freedom

I guard over our children’s laughter and uplift those in need

Do not weep for the fallen, for they stood before my place

With pride they fought then, though I do not know their faces

Do not weep for the unknowns, for they that fell in silence

Are honored by all free homes and in turn honored in a hero’s place

Do not weep for me father, for I stand willingly, proudly

To take peace farther for you, me and those in need.

Faith*Hope*Love

Faith*Hope*Love

The Greatest of these is LOVE.

Faith*Hope*Love

Faith Hope and Love are three strong words that many know of experience and are tested with. This week was just that, a place where Holy Spirit shows me just what I need to surrender and submit to.

Recently I experienced my Hope and faith test, to which I pray I passed as I can say that I’m here. Now it has been on LOVE. My love walk lately had not been so good. I was on the edge with being a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal realizing my need for change as Holy Spirit showed me this past week.
Renew Me

But through the Grace of God and His great love for me, thankfully he doesn’t let me get away with that. As any good parent wouldn’t let their own kids get away with things that aren’t right.

I had been going through a sifting so to speak during the process of this transition which has shown what my strengths and weakness have been. I can’t say that I’m bold enough to give you a list of my dirty laundry of my needing to fix love walk in detail. But I can say that I allow Holy Spirit to get me back on track. I can only pray that I will grow from glory to glory.  Through all that I have been through, through all that I’m going through now, and through where I am headed my prayer is that LOVE be in charge and LOVE be the motivation through my present and future. For without LOVE, I am Nothing.

Seasons of the Heart

LOVE brings everything good together. LOVE covers multitudes of sins. LOVE is the reason I do what I am doing right now reaching to you all as my heart is for you to connect closer to God who is pure LOVE. His D.N.A is LOVE.

He made everything we know and more just to be with us because He LOVES us. He sent His one and Only Son Jesus Christ to die on our behalf just so that We can be with him by simply taking the steps to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior believing what He did for us, And asking Him to forgive us of our sins.

Jesus is LOVE
Simply by asking and doing this process do we get to experience HIS LOVE. WOW~ what an awesome and easy way to get Close to LOVE. To be rescued by LOVE. Jesus because He is the Son of God is also the makeup DNA of LOVE. He freely gave his life for us. For He himself longs to be with us.

So knowing all of this, and being reminded this week through His word, through others that God uses to remind me of LOVE, I can be transparent with you and gladly draw from the well of the heart of GOD His LOVE. Obtaining this, LOVE~ Is surrendering the need for change and be willing to change and spending time with LOVE, In others words time with God who is LOVE, and recognizing the need for change to be aware of one’s actions to position oneself to change.

No matter the time clock on my day, just by take-in time for him, by surrendering, I get filled up with His LOVE and allow LOVE to take over. Then my day works together for Good. And my closes around me gets blessed because I respond in LOVE.

~ Less of ME and MORE of HIM. ~ LOVE.

Flamming Passion
Greatest is He who is in me than He who is in the world. As the Bible already says, the greatest of these is LOVE.

Here is a Link below to which I felt lead to share as I normally don’t do this, but this teaching on LOVE was so good, I just had to share.  Holy Spirit grabbed me through this, I know that if you’re willing to draw closer to God and Need some work, He will grab you too and do a heart change of motive on LOVE as He greatly loves you and only wants the best for you. As His Best is better than what you can imagine for yourself.

A Mother’s Heart

A Mother’s Heart
Poem~

Mothers' Heart ~ Illustrated Poetry

Her Sweet smile that lights the room
Warm touch to chase the gloom
Are but a few memories’ I hold near
Of my Mom that’s Love so dear
Laughter the puts a twinkle in her eye
Always quick to answer a child’s cry
God’s soft heart from above,
Found in her warm love.
Tutor, Teacher, friend
Soft and wise to the very end
God knows what is needed right from the very start,
He placed it all in a Mother’s Heart.
This poem is in honor of my Mom, My imperfect Mom who gave me life, who loved on me and showed me unconditional love. My mom, Who cooked and cleaned for me, who took time to listen to me, to Not only discipline me when I needed, but also was a friend to me.

She always encouraged me, believed that I could do anything. My Mom growing up as a child was the best and of course the only mom I have ever had. She showed me how to be strong as she had her own troubled past who had no one to teach her the ways of love as her Mom wasn’t there for her. But my mom was able to show me love and show her strengths because of the Love of God. I can say that through it all it was God’s love pouring into her to reach me.

Growing up wasn’t the best of circumstances as a kid mainly because of finances, but  to be connected to a family that blesses one another through words of encouragement in spite of the situation that life may bring, was the best. And as words of encouragement brought healing to me in tough times, and   tough situations, to which I use on my kids today encouraging them in love. Seeing the fruit of the words take root, and watered in love. I see strengths of God’s goodness come up in them.

To be a Mom who loves God is the most important thing you can pass on to your kids, As God and His Nature of Faith and Love will carry them through in life.
Proverbs 31:10-31 says it all when describing a Godly mom. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=proverbs%2031:10-31&version=NIV
I must say that I have missed the mark on some things that Proverbs talks about as I am a work in progress. And I’m encouraged by the nature of God’s love for me through the examples of woman God chose to add in the importance of Descendent of Jesus lineage. As you can read about in Matthew 1 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%201&version=NIV these woman were imperfect themselves yet, what was so great about them was their FAITH. They each took a step forward in Faith through there circumstances and won in the end because of it. A Generational blessing was passed on through them of the blood line of Faith.

Walk by Faith
Faith is one that I at least hold unto as a mom, teaching my kids through the action of my faith knowing that faith will be one to carry them through in life. Jesus is Faith in other words, as he is the ultimate example to us.
For Yesterday and Today’s Imperfect Mom’s who held on to Faith.

Happy Mother’s Day!!

Seek and You shall Find

“Seek and You shall Find”

Winds of His Glory
Seek ~ a word that I had grown to familiar in these past several weeks with the house hunting journey.  This by far was a stretch for me to go through the many emotions in the adventures of this transition.

It is Not something that I want to go around the mountain with this again either. I kept going around the mountain during these past several weeks because I was being held back by stuff. Stuff, extra stuff to which I didn’t need nor used in a while that was holding back the best of what God has for me.

The Lord wanted to Free me from the extra baggage, the extra weight I was carrying before I entered my promise land. Getting rid of the old to make ready for the New was now a New thing for me. It was both a physical and spiritual of getting rid of the extra stuff. Learning that I was holding unto the past to which held me down. Letting go of fears and failures freed me to move forward.

Blessed House
The Lord already showed me in the beginning the place to which I was to live for the New adventure in the promise land ( As this place had all the right stuff expect for it was too small), but I wasn’t ready in the beginning as in the beginning I didn’t want to let go of my stuff. I didn’t want to make too many more changes in this move; I wanted to stay in the realm of my comfort zone in my sanctuary of living, but to stay their meant I couldn’t do the New that God had in store for me.  So I found myself in full circle and finally surrendered.

This change to downsize has only just started, but I feel better. I hear in my heart that my family will even grow closer as we will be closer in our living space.  And go places together that God knew we loved.

I was seeking, and in the process God was already showing me. He has always been faithful. He promised that he would not leave me nor forsake me. It just took me to lay down my wants in exchange for His wants for me. For God knows best. I kept praying let your will be done. Well He answered that prayer and he is still answering it.

These scriptures have been recent reminders this past week:

Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Seek the Kingdom

(I have been seeking him, going hard after God,and though I didn't want to move right now, I see his plan unfold. He knew before I did, He fullfilled the desires of my heart more than what I asked for.)

Matthew 7:7-8~
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receive; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Scriptures through this journey of Seeking to which the words came up quite often that the Lord use to encourage me has been Jeremiah 29:11-14

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

To which this portion of scripture I kept falling back too; you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.

I understand that this is in relation to seeking the Lord, Drawing near to him, as He is easily found. He doesn't try and hide in himself and make it all that difficult to make you work harder at finding him.
In my case, He had already showed himself in this process of the move, of finding a house, but it was what I wanted to see. I was seeing through a fog because I was ignoring the change to which I didn't want to partake in.
Thankful that God closed the doors on previous places, and quickened me Not to take others that I saw. Like a Parent who knows best for their kids when buying them a gift or feeding them the right foods, the child benefits the rewards of health and safety.
My reward is just that. And I'm grateful that I have a God who loves me.

He can do the same for you too. Have you been seeking him, and feel like you haven't found him yet in your own circumstance? Just know that God is always with you. He will make it easy to be found, like the game of Hide and Seek and You see that the parent sticks His foot out as the young child goes and looks for Him. So it is with God. Sometimes to move forward, you also need to make some changes.

I encourage you Not to give up because God hasn’t given up on you. Rest in Him knowing that you too will also make it through this. I was living in the Valley for far too long. Now it was time to be in the Sun rise of my new beginning.  What will become of this I don’t know, but I believe for big. I still dream BIG. And Allow God to take my dreams to turn them to His Way to Reality.

I sought, and thankfully have finally found.

With a Grateful heart, I look forward to the New.
